History

In 1912, the SPX origins started with the creation of Piston ring, a company specializing in the compound manufacturing for cars of Detroit. On working with the most popular company, Piston ring quickly became a popular company recognize for the quality of their products.

In 1931, This company buy Accuralite, together they became Sealed Power Corporation and increase their knowledges for military equipment.  A few years later, the society is already known in more than 40 countries thanks to their famous products “original equipment” in 80 of cars in the US.

Since 80-90 year, Sealed Power Corporation wishes to diversify themself and bought others companies specialized in change parts. Sealed Power Corporation became SPX Corporation.

At the beginning of 2000, SPX invested millions of dollars to buy company and growth their expertise in the food application, energy and technology etc.
