This type of heat exchanger is made for drinking water applications. The frame is made with raw-materials without a lot of iron (ej : zinc, lead, tin, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, etc.) and the plate are made with steel to increase their corrosion resistance

This series is designed for the exchange of solid elements (particles or fibers). The FREE FLOW plates are generally spaced apart (between 5 and 12mm separation) depending on the application. The separation and characteristics of these plates prevent clogging caused by solids. This type of exchanger can be found in the food industry, where it is used to manufacture sugar, fruit juices, paper, etc.

These heat exchangers products are evaporators. When you use a plates evaporator instead of tube evaporators you can limit the reduction of pressure losses and increases performance by a factor of 2. Thanks to the use of a plate exchanger, it is possible to increase its exchange surface by adding plates which is not possible when using a tubular exchanger.

A SAFETYTHERM exchanger has double plates which would ensure, in the event of a leak, that the two exchanges don’t mix. For example: in the event of a leak, the liquid would flow between the two plates so contact will be non-existent.
