Well known Alfa Laval

History

Alfa Laval is a Swedish company which has been created in 1883 by Oscar LAMM and Gustaf DE LAVAL. In 1879, Gustaf DE LAVAL decided to develop his centrifugal separator. After a few year, he decided to test his centrifugal separator in a industrial system and with fish oil. In 1888, the first pomp used to extract the skimmed milk of the separator are sales. In 1890, the first milk pasteurizer appear on the market. Alfa Laval has created his first heat exchange in 1938 to satisfy a need of milk industry. In 1938, Gustaf DE LAVAL found an easy way to product milk as the same time as increase his yield by launched himself in the production of heat exchangers.

Specialized in plate heat exchangers, Alfa Laval is known for the optimization of these products and for its innovations in three sectors: thermal exchange, the separation, and the transfer of liquids. Plate heat exchangers was designed to make the heat transfer between two liquids or gas easier.

The Alfa Laval heat exchangers are all certified AHRI (Air-conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute). This certification it is a world certification which guarantee the efficiency and the performance of exchangers. These products respect the environment.

The plate heat exchangers
